     Research directions: multimedia network communication, security emergency information processing, multimedia analysis, mobile Internet, etc. In terms of multimedia communication system, he is mainly engaged in the system architecture of multimedia communication system, audio and video synchronization technology, system delay optimization technology, and voice priority QoS research; in terms of security emergency information technology, he has long been engaged in the system architecture of super large-scale video monitoring system, the interconnection technology of video monitoring system, and the QoS guarantee technology of heterogeneous network video transmission In the aspect of multimedia analysis, it is mainly engaged in the research of credible video retrieval, pedestrian recognition, automatic image quality diagnosis and so on.

Projects presided over and participated in:

   The city security multi-level networking video monitoring system platform, which is the largest video monitoring project in China, has many domestic priorities, such as Dongguan public security video monitoring project, the first large-scale urban public transport video monitoring project, the first video monitoring project based on CDMA1X / edge and fixed network hybrid heterogeneous network - Shenzhen bus electronic monitoring project It has been widely used in large demonstration projects; the series products of criminal investigation image integrated business system developed by the director have been applied in more than 85% of the public security departments of provinces and cities in China, and have been used in Taiwan and the United States.

Awards and honors:

   The research achievements have won one first prize of Hubei Province Science and technology progress award, two second prizes of science and technology progress award of Ministry of education, and one first prize of Wuhan Science and technology progress award. Seven national invention patents have been obtained. More than 10 papers have been published in domestic and foreign core journals and international conferences, including 4 papers included by SCI and 9 papers included by EI.
